Eppley’s Online Learning Catalog Updated

Eppley’s online learning catalog has been updated with over 270 courses and over 100 listings on the IU Expand system. The public can access these courses at the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands catalog, and over one-half of the courses available are free. The courses available in catalog, partially shown in the image on the right, ranges from technical professional training on wilderness to safe snowmobiling in Yellowstone National Park, to safe boating in Everglades National Park (Spanish language) to causes of the Civil War and community gardening among all the offerings.

Eppley retired the pioneering online course learning management system, proValens Online Learning, after nearly 20 years of operation and use by over 114,000 registered learners.

Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands courses, and partner courses from federal agencies and non-profit organization in wilderness management, interpretation, facility management, scenic conservation, rivers, and trails, battlefield interpretation, and other wide-ranging topics continue to be offered and can be accessed at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the Indiana University Expand learning management system.

As part of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, the Eppley Center will use this new more powerful and supported online learning system to build on the success of the past 15 years of online learning for the parks, recreation, and public lands profession.

Support for your learning needs, registering for courses, helping to develop new courses of interest, or collaborations with federal, state, local and nonprofit parks organizations can all start at the catalog or by emailing us at support@eppley.org.
